This Uses studies like the debt to equity and the PE ratio to determine how strong the company actually is and what would be the fair market value of their stock. Then investors will pick stocks that are considered undervalued and buy and hold those stocks until they reach or surpass their true market value.

This involves finding companies that have the potential to grow in the future. Instead of finding undervalued stocks a growth investor tries to find stocks that are likely to take off in the future do to any new fundamental factors that may occur.
3. Momentum Investing
Momentum investing is the process of buying stocks for no other reason other then their past history. A momentum investor might buy a stock simply because it has been making higher highs. This may seem like a simplistic approach to a complicated thing, but sometimes simplicity works.
4. Drip Investing
This involved investing into great dividend paying stocks and having those dividends reinvested back into the company. This helps investors to increase their returns over time as their dividends can be reinvested to make more. Not all companies offer this plan, but those who do can prove to be great investments.
