There are some pretty amazing camping areas in Southern Utah. In fact if you are ever taking a Southern Utah vacation you might want to just spend your entire vacation camping around at some of these areas, it is much cheaper than staying at a hotel.
1. Fish Lake
This is a perfect lake to take a camping and fishing trip at. This Utah Lake is known for producing great fishing stories. It is also surrounded by the Fish Lake National Forests that has many great hiking trails and includes the world’s largest living organism, which is basically a group of tress that are all fused together.
There is just one word of warning I should give you this lake is a perfect R.V. camping area. If you bring a tent you had better come during the summer or you are going to freeze.
2. Any National Park
All of the Utah National Parks are well worth the visit and by camping out at them you can see all there is to see. Each park has a camping section and they are all relatively inexpensive.
3. Green River
The Green River State Park is a fantastic place to camp out because they have some nice fishing and it also contains a golf course so there is a lot to do just on the camp ground. It is also very close to 3 major national parks, Arches, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands.
The wide selection of things to do definitely makes this a great spot to plan a vacation at.
4. Snow Canyon
Snow canyon is another nice place to stay at; this park is usually not very crowded and contains some beautiful lava flow caves. Like the green river this park is also next to some National Parks, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon are both relatively close to it.
There are hundreds of spots to camp around the state. These are just a few nice areas that you may want to check out.
