I have some brilliant memories of my wedding day, even though it was back in the late 80’s.

Of course we manage to remember a lot of our happiest memories, but ultimately photos of your wedding are really important as they are a happy reminder of your wedding day. I really cherish my photos, even more so as many of my close relatives have sadly passed away, so looking back at old photos brings back some truly wonderful times.

At the time of our wedding, we called upon the services of a Brighton Photographer. The collection of photos he presented to us was stunning and he really knew his angles!

I know I am biased but I honestly believe he was the best Sussex Wedding Photographer we could have chosen.I like to believe that the real reason the photographs turned out so well was because he had such photogenic people to take pictures of!

As soon as I met him though, I knew he was the perfect choice and he was on my wavelength straight away and knew exactly what I would be looking for.

I didn’t want a bunch of photos that didn’t really represent my true character and portrayed me as some sort of flouncy person. He delivered honest pictures taken straight from the heart, just as I had wanted.

I have some truly wonderful pictures of us all. I must admit though that looking back at our photographs, I cannot believe how much fashion has moved on. It’s not only fashion that is so different, but hairstyles as well. When I got married all those years ago, large hair was the in thing and clothing was really in your face and full of expression. I really don’t know what happened to my mum’s dress sense or what she was thinking when she chose her outlandish purple outfit. She was covered from top to toe in purple and even had purple flowers in her hair. She looked gorgeous though and the pictures of her are something I will always cherish now that she is sadly no longer with us.

Of course, not all photographers are good and I suppose given the fact that some of them specialise in commercial photography, it can’t always be easy taking good pictures. At least when people are photographed, you can get them to pull faces, what can you honestly do to make a building look better?
