With Valentine’s so close, you’ll want to make it unforgettable. Instead of just flowers and a box of chocolates, here are some tips to transfer Valentine’s Day into a day you and your honey will never foget.
First, a history of Valentine’s Day. There are many legends associated with Saint Valentine. According to one legend, Valentine was a priest who lived during the third century in Rome. He continued to marry couples in secret after Emperor Claudius II ruled that single men made better soldiers than married men so he outlawed marriage. When Valentine was caught to be breaking marriage law, he was sentenced to death.
And that brings us to what you can do to make Valentine’s Day unique and special. Pick your Valentine’s Day cards well in advance. Don’t leave it until the very last day because more often than not the most popular cards will have been snapped up. You may want to choose two cards one that is sweet and romantic and one that is funny. If you are lucky enough to find 3-D cards, definitely choose one with a romantic theme. Don’t just sign the card and leave all the rest blank. Write thoughtful and romantic words to go with your card. Your honey will appreciate the time and effort you take to make the cards special.
Even better than buying a card is making one of your own. You don’t have to be a painter as talented as Waterhouse or a poet like Shelley to make your honey swoon. Show your feelings as honest as you can, and ‘hide’ the card in a place where your partner can find it easily.
If you have the time and can get your honey out of the house long enough to pull it off, arrange your gifts around your home with clues so that your honey has to search for them. The presents you give don’t have to big or cost a lot of money. Something as sweet as a box of candy hearts, a mouse mat of a favorite game, vibrators, or a lovely pair of earrings work just fine. Leave little notes explaining the clue and where to look for the next item. Use your imagination to hide things and your honey will enjoy looking for your gifts. Enjoy the surprise when they discover the vibrators, mouse mat, and earrings.
Put on some chillout music to create a romantic atmosphere and fill your bath with hot water and scented bubbles. Stock your bathroom with lit candles, burning incense, waterproof and silent vibrators, and fresh, clean towels for a romantic soak. What better way to wash away your work day woes than in a warm and scented bath with the person you love. The silent vibrators also are great to add a little excitement to your bath time.
Beat the restaurant rush on Valentine’s Day by making your own food. For fun, cook red food like beef, beets, Manhattan crab soup, red peppers, pasta with tomato sauce, and red velvet cake for dessert. A table covered with red food will look fantastic and set a romantic ambience with all the red colours. Just dont forget to put your heart in it. While you are enjoying your meal, feed your honey from your plate. Move gently and slowly and enjoy every bit of food you eat. The very last thing you want to do when having a romantic dinner is to eat too fast and not make it last. Enjoy and savor each bite.
As you are relaxing in the lounge, get out some fun games. Create a series of cards with instructions that both of you have to follow, such as “give a foot massage” or “perform a sexy dance”. Imagine the surprise on your honey’s face when you hand over a few sex toys. Sex toys make great Valentine’s Day gifts. A silent vibrator is much better because it provides you total privacy. You won’t have to worry about your flat mates hearing you when you use silent vibrators. While candy is always popular and desired, try making your own. Chocolate truffles are surprisingly easy to make and there are plenty of recipes available online. If you’re not sure, buy some treats from the sweet shop, and don’t forget the chocolate shaped hearts!
