Because of the latest state of the North American economy and the forever increasing spike in gold prices , it is apparent why people are digging out their broken gold, silver and platinum jewelry and are selling them to cash 4 gold companies as a way to find some spare dollars to get rid of their extra debts and to get out of debt.
If you are experiencing the same situation you will be wise to carefully do your research before unloading your gold or silver to just any gold dealers in that there are an ever increasing number of unethical companies in the precious metal buying industry who won’t hesitate to take advantage of your financial situation and reward a small percentage for your gold.
The fact that this behavior isn’t fraudulent by definition, it is however, wrong and I feel obligated to tell those of you who are thinking of parting with your used gold, silver or platinum jewelry to be sure to avoid companies that are posing as gold brokers and to conduct business only with metal refineries or gold buyers that own their in-house metal refineries
You see, cash for gold companies are nothing more than brokers between you and a gold refinery and as a result they will reward you in the neighborhood of 30 percent of the market price for your gold or silver jewelry and easily trade it back to a gold refiner themselves therefore keeping the larger share and in turn you keep a couple lousy dollars.
Not so long ago, Fox news put together a sort of undercover sting, where they delivered three replica amounts of gold jewelry to three individual cash for gold companies and waited for their payout and while all three companies did in fact deliver a check for their broken gold, only one of those cash 4 gold companies actually submitted the real value of their gold while the other 2 gold buyers payed approximately 30 percent of today’s current value.
The other 2 companies that that payed out 1/3 of the market value were acting as a go-between while the 3rd cash for gold company that payed the real value did utilize their own in-house refinery, so it is customer beware in this business and I strongly recommend that you do your part before selling your unneeded gold or silver jewelry so that you won’t get sucked into the cash 4 gold scam
